Welcome to the website of the
Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates Alumnae Chapter (SHAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
I bring you greetings on behalf of the amazing women who make up this vibrant chapter that was chartered in 1991. SHAC serves the communities in and around the Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates area, including Arlington Heights, Bartlett, Elgin, Hanover Park, Palatine, Roselle, Streamwood and other neighboring communities.
This year we celebrate 30 years of service and our strong commitment to public service has only increased over time. As we continue our work as a chapter, we strive to create innovative programs with a focus on the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:
∆ Economic Development
∆ Educational Development
∆ International Awareness and Involvement
∆ Physical and Mental Health
∆ Political Awareness and Involvement
From providing financial empowerment seminars; conducting youth enrichment programs; awarding scholarships; supporting local domestic violence shelters; to conducting voter registration drives; and much more, SHAC continues to institute programs aimed at “transforming lives and impacting communities.”
I invite you to browse through our website to learn more about SHAC and its programs. We invite you to get involved with SHAC by supporting our scholarship and fundraising activities and other chapter projects and programs. We are always seeking opportunities to forge new partnerships with organizations and businesses within our service area to expand our programs. If you know of a need within the community or would like to partner with us on a project, feel free to contact us at: email@example.com.
Again, thank you for visiting our website and we look forward to seeing you throughout the year.
